Michael J. Quinn is President & Chief Executive Officer of Rhinebeck Bank. He was appointed as CEO in 2004 and has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2001 when he was President & COO.
He began his career as a Management Trainee at Rhinebeck Bank in 1984 and has held various positions including Branch Manager, Treasurer, Senior Lending Officer and President & COO before being named as President & CEO in 2004.
A company veteran of over 30 years, Quinn provides leadership to the Board of Directors, executive managers, and staff by working with the Board in setting the overall strategic direction, vision, and mission of the organization. Responsible for communicating strategy to the Bank’s management and staff, as well as monitoring the Bank’s performance, he takes pride in leading the Bank’s business direction as well as setting its cultural and philosophical tone.
With a strong commitment to community, Quinn serves on the Board of Directors for the Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress, Family Services Inc., and The New York Bankers Association.
Quinn earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Jamie J. Bloom is currently the Chief Operating Officer at Rhinebeck Bank. She has over 30 years of financial services experience. Bloom began her banking career at Rhinebeck Bank in 1994 as the Vice President of Sales. In 2001, she relocated to California and then to Virginia which allowed her to gain experience from larger institutions; Citibank, Wachovia and Key Bank. She never imagined that her career would take her full circle. Bloom rejoined Rhinebeck in 2010, coming back to an institution where she felt she could make an impact and help lead its strategic direction. She’s excited to return “home” and be part of an organization where every employee makes a difference.
One of the things Bloom loves about her career is the ability to place the right people in the right positions. She enjoys coaching people to succeed and, ultimately, developing the next generation of leaders at Rhinebeck Bank. Her satisfaction is derived out of inspiring and encouraging each employee to push beyond their own perceived limitations.
Bloom graduated from Marist College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance. She also is a graduate of the American Bankers Association’s National School of Banking program at Fairfield University. As an active volunteer with the United Way’s financial education series she said, “I find it impactful and rewarding to educate the Hudson Valley community on making better, more informed financial decisions. With the alignment of United Way’s values and my own, I feel strongly about the success of their mission.”
Outside of the office, Bloom enjoys traveling, music and new experiences. She also enjoys spending time with her two teenage sons and loves watching them play sports.
Michael J. McDermott is the Chief Financial Officer of Rhinebeck Bank, a position he has held since August 2001.
As CFO, McDermott is responsible for directing and controlling the Bank’s accounting and financial operations. He holds primary responsibility for financial, regulatory, and tax reporting as well as managing the budgeting process. McDermott serves as the primary investment officer and manages the overall financial risk position of the Bank. Past duties have included supervisory responsibility for back office operations including payment systems, loan servicing, collections, IT, internal audit and general services.
Prior to joining the Bank, McDermott held the position of CFO, as well as other senior executive positions, in several diverse industries including a large insurance brokerage, a healthcare software startup and two manufacturing companies.
Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, McDermott has remained committed to the economic success and quality of life in the Hudson Valley. Over the years he has served on several community boards and has participated actively in the local rowing community as a rower, coach at the high school and adult levels, a race official, and fund raiser.
McDermott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration from the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University with concentrations in Accounting and Finance.
During his spare time, McDermott remains active as a rower, runner, hiker, sailor, and skier.
James T. McCardle III joined the Bank in 2001 and is currently the Chief Credit Officer of Rhinebeck Bank; a position he was appointed to in January 2018. As CCO, McCardle develops and coordinates the implementation of credit policies & procedures, underwriting and lending approval guidelines, collection activities including loan workouts and management of loan portfolios. He is also an integral part of the Bank’s strategic planning & budgeting and is a member of the Bank’s Loan Committee, Loan Pricing Committee and ALCO.
Prior to being named CCO, McCardle was the Chief Lending Officer for seven years where he focused on growth strategies for our commercial lending, indirect lending, consumer lending and residential lending teams. He has held various titles since joining the bank including VP, Commercial Lending, SVP Commercial Lending and SVP & Senior Lending Officer.
Being a Hudson Valley native and employee of a community bank, Mr. McCardle believes it is important to work, volunteer and mentor youth in the community. He is a past Vice President/Board Member of Kingston Cal Ripken, Board Member of the Michael B. Finnegan Golf Tournament for Cancer Care, and founding Board Member of the G. Warren Kias Scholarship Fund.
McCardle earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from SUNY at Plattsburgh and his Master of Business Administration with a Finance Concentration from SUNY at Albany.
With over 20 years of combined leadership and business development experience, Phil leads the bank’s Commercial Lending and Indirect/Consumer Lending Departments in his role as Chief Lending Officer. Prior to his May 2021 promotion, he served as the Bank's Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending Director.
Phil remains very active in his community, both professionally and personally, including service as Treasurer for Sparrow’s Nest of the Hudson Valley, 1st Vice Chair for the Anderson Center for Autism, Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce, member of the Real Estate Committee of the Think Dutchess Business Alliance and as a volunteer for St. Denis Parish.
A SUNY Albany graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Bronzi graduated in June 2021 from the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking, a partnership with the prestigious Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.
Phil resides in Hopewell Junction with his wife, Jennifer, and their five children.
Karen Morgan-D’Amelio, Esq. is the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel for Rhinebeck Bank and a member of its executive leadership team. She was appointed to this position in 2014.
As Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel, Morgan-D’Amelio, Esq. manages tactical legal initiatives, provides legal guidance to the executive team on all matters that affect the Bank, oversees legal functions, manages risk management, audits and compliance, corporate governance matters and serves as the Corporate Secretary for the Bank. Prior to joining Rhinebeck Bank, Morgan-D’Amelio, Esq. worked in both private practice and held Managing Attorney roles and leadership roles in financial institutions such as The Dime Savings Bank of NY, FSB, Washington Mutual and J.P. Morgan Chase, and was a Deputy County Attorney for Nassau County, New York.
As a strong supporter of the local community, Morgan-D’Amelio, Esq. participates in local community events and supports various non-profit fundraisers.
Morgan-D’Amelio, Esq. earned her Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce and her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in: New York, Florida, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia, and earned a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt certification.
During her spare time, she enjoys exploring the scenic Hudson Valley, traveling, and spending time with her family.
Timmian C. (Tim) Massie is Chief Marketing/Public Affairs Officer for Rhinebeck Bank. With more than 40 years' experience in communications, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. He previously served in senior positions in healthcare, utilities, government and higher education, where he was also an adjunct professor. He began his career as a radio news reporter.
Massie, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, graduated from the city's schools, Dutchess Community College and Fordham University, with additional studies at the Gregorian University in Rome and the North American College in Vatican City. He serves as a Director of the Dyson Foundation and Trustee at Dutchess Community College. He is also on the Board of the Dutchess Community College Association, the Poughkeepsie Alliance, the Dutchess County Economic Development Advisory Council, the Day One Early Learning Community and the executive committee of the Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet. Massie has received numerous awards for his community service and in 2018, he was named one of the “100 Most Socially Responsible Executives and Thought Leaders in New York” by City & State Magazine.
Massie is an avid bicyclist and enjoys spending time with his husband traveling, attending concerts and theater performances, and mentoring the next generation of public relations and marketing professionals.
